Costume and set designer

Ugnė Tamuliūnaitė
is a set and costume designer working across ballet, theatre, opera. She graduated with a BA in Scenography from Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2013 and completed her Master’s degree in 2015, actively participating in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.
After graduation, Ugnė began her career at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre as a costume designer assistant, collaborating with internationally renowned designers, directors, and choreographers including Shirin Neshat, Luisa Spinatelli, Mauro Bigonzetti, Damiano Michieletto, Robert Wilson, and Manuel Legris. This experience inspired her own innovative approach to costume and scenography. She also designed costumes as a lead designer for ballet and opera productions at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Currently based in Paris, Ugnė works as a freelance artist, collaborating with emerging directors in Lithuania and participating in international projects such as the Salzburg Festival. Her work experiments with materials, color, and light to create immersive visual atmospheres, exploring sensory experiences that transform mood, time, and place on stage.
She has been a member of the Lithuanian Artist’s Association since 2022 and was nominated for the Golden Stage Cross award in 2025 for her costume design for Macbeth.
